Franklin has 20 years of combined in-house and law firm intellectual property law experience. His practice focuses on strategic IP development and management, patent preparation and prosecution, patent infringement and validity analyses, due diligence reviews, and IP agreement drafting. Prior to joining Patent Law Works, Franklin worked at several leading technology companies and law firms in Silicon Valley, where his responsibilities included IP strategy, patent prosecution, portfolio management, standards-essential patent development, invention mining, and litigation and transaction support.
Franklin has technical expertise in a wide range of computer-related technologies, including cloud computing, computer architecture, machine learning, wireless and wired networks, mobile devices and applications, UI/UX, social networking, consumer electronics, storage systems and semiconductors.
Prior to law school, Franklin worked as a computer design engineer at a venture capital-backed startup company where he designed the cache controller for a high-performance microprocessor.
